Human Resources will be handling most of the Health
Care Issues again for the 2008-2009 school year. All Bargaining
Units in the LVJUSD are now with CVT (California's Valued Trust;
formerly known as Central Valley Trust) and the District
has hired a Health Care Coordinator, Peggy Donavan.
Active Members and District Paid Retirees
should direct their questions to Peggy Donavan in Human Resources.
She can be reached via e-mail or
at 925-606-3203. Peggy is the person to call if you have questions
about district benefit plans, options, billing, deductions, etc.
Retirees over the age of 65 who have questions about
their billing should contact Marana Benefits Administration
at 925-294-8891.
Active and Retired members who have questions about
plans regarding what is covered, how deductibles and co-pays
are calculated, or issues about something not being covered, you
should contact CVT (Califonia's Valued Trust). Our rep is currently
Cherie Haynes and can be reached via e-mail or
at 1-800-288-9870 x 108.
If an LEA member or retiree does not feel they are
receiving the service that they should from either the School
District, CVT or Marana Benefits Administration, they should contact
the Livermore Education Association and we will do our best to
assist in solving the problem.
2007-2008 Health Care Plan Documents
Members and retirees may find the newest packets for the 2007-2008 health care
plans to the right in their appropriate areas. The Benefit Plan year runs from
October 1, 2007 through September 30, 2008.
What
document area do I need to search in?
If you are an active employee receiving benefits from the Livermore
Valley Joint Unified School District, you should be looking at
the documents in the "Active Members" area.
If you are a retired employee still receiving district-paid benefits
through the Option 1 Early Retirement Incentive
Program or if you are under age 65 and self-paying for benefits,
you should be looking at the documents in the "District-Paid
Retirees/Under-65"
area.
If you are over age 65 and still using benefits through our group
plans, but are paying for them yourself, you should be looking
at the documents in the "Self-Paid Retirees" area. This
includes all retirees over the age of 65.
If you're curious about what your health care would be like
if you were in your "next stage of healthcare",
feel free to check the group plan information for that section.
While the prices are for this plan year and the prices are
sure to increase for next year, it may help you to understand what
to expect and what you can prepare for.
