Here,
we have provided all of our existing position papers for our members.
These are updated on an as-needed basis, so make sure to check
for the latest version when you're researching an issue.
For newer members, it's important for them to read through the
Evaluation
Timeline Position Paper and the Employee
Status Position Paper.
For all part-time employees, the LEA position
paper regarding
part-time employees and their participation in professional development
days prompted the settlement of the 2005 grievance that resulted
in the following Memorandum
of Understanding. Now,it is clear that our members who are
working part-time are only mandated to work their proportional
amount of staff development days.
For members who are choosing to retire at the end of the 2005-06
school year, we have included a sample letter that our members
may use to request participation in the Option 1 Early Retirement
Incentive. Remember that members who retiree before June 30, 2005
will receive up to seven (7) years* of District-Paid health benefits
(equivalent to what active members receive, ie: current cap of
$10,000).
