Our Grievance Committee consists of trained reps who assist our
site reps and members at their school sites to solve perceived
contract violations. The committee also determines whether or
not a grievance should be taken to arbitration.
The Bargaining Team handles our negotiations with the Livermore District
and our Contract Development Committee prepares proposals and researches
contract language for our members and Bargaining Team.
Our Professional Development Committee focused on the
January K-5 Staff Development Day this year in an effort to improve
educational opportunities for our members. They would like to
coordinate a Middle School and High School Staff Development
Day for November, 2006 but need additional Middle School and
High School volunteers to make it happen.
Our Contract Action Committee comes alive whenever we are having
difficulty settling our contract and need to get our members
and community involved.
The Elections Committee manages the details whenever LEA has an
internal election or vote.
Our Social Committee takes care of the planning whenever we have
a social event or meeting for our members or Rep Council.
Our Communications Committee manages most communications that
go out to our members and community including our website, newsletters,
bulletins, and press releases.
Our Health Care Committee works to educate our members regarding
health care issues and research the best possible health care
programs available for our members to choose. If you are interested
in attending a meeting, providing feedback or asking questions,
please contact our health
care chairperson.
