LEA Leadership & Committee Information

Aimee Thompson has been President since July 2020. Before becoming President Aimee has served as Vice President and Treasurer. She is a middle school science teacher.

Tara Lutz became Vice President in July 2024. She previously served as a site rep for 14 years between her previous district and LVJUSD. Tara has been an educator at the elementary level since 1999.

Justin Enright became Treasurer in October 2021. Justin is Director of Instrumental Music at Livermore High. He currently directs the jazz band, jazz ensemble, concert band, symphonic band, pep band, string orchestra, chamber orchestra, color guard and drumline groups. 

Kristina Wooten has been teaching in LVJUSD for 19 years. She teaches 1st grade at Croce Elementary. She is new to the role of secretary, after serving as Elementary Rep-at-Large for the past 5 years.

Liz Watson is serving her second term as high school rep-at-large. Liz has been teaching English at Granada High School since 2010.

Katie Smiley joined the Executive Board in 2019. Katie teaches science at Mendenhall Middle School and has been a teacher for 27 years. 

Noah King is pleased to return to the role of Elementary Rep-at-large after serving three terms as Non-Classroom Rep-at-large.  He is a third grade teacher at Croce Elementary who has been teaching in LVJUSD for 29 years.  

Heather Bell is excited to join the executive board as the Non-Classroom Rep-At-Large. She has been a practicing speech-language pathologist for 17 years and has been working for LVJUSD since 2019. 

Ron Tanikawa has taught special education for the past 20 years in various areas such as resource and special day classes and is currently a Moderate SDC teacher at Granada High School.
